You can modify an existing user's
profile by going to the User
and Services Configuration form (
NOTE: The Flow Through Provisioning, a MiVoice Business 7.2 and MiCollab 7.0 feature, allows the administrator to provision and manage users and services from a single location - MiCollab is the recommended option. See Adding Users and Service for more information.
Navigate to the User
and Services Configuration form.

Select a user in the Search Results tree (you can also perform a Search By Last/First Name to quickly find the user), then click on one of the associated phone services. The detailed forms are displayed in the right panel.
To change the embedded voice mail data (if configured), click the Voicemail sub-element.
Any foreign services (such as, MiCollab services) are not editable and will not display any details. Clicking a MiCollab service opens the MiCollab USP application and displays the appropriate tab for the selected service.
Modify the necessary field(s) in the displayed detailed forms.
NOTES
The Directory Number (DN) and Device Type field are required fields.
Changing the user's DN automatically deletes the user's existing voice mailbox and creates a new voice mailbox that is associated with the new DN.
You can change a phone's device type only within the category of devices to which it belongs. That is, you can change a Multiline IP device to a different Multiline IP device (for example, 5010 IP to 5220 IP), but you cannot change a Multiline IP device to an analog.
The Login ID, Password, and Email fields cannot be cleared if the user has any of the following MiCollab services attached: MCA, UCA, Standard or Advanced UM.
If the selected user is associated with the MiCollab Speech Auto Attendant (SAA) service, the First and Last Name fields cannot be blank or contain any UTF-8 encoded characters.
Click the Save Changes button. Click Cancel at any time before saving to abort the operation.
Navigate to the User
and Services Configuration form.

Select the user in the Search Results tree (you can also perform a Search By Last/First Name to quickly find the user), then click the displayed down arrow (alternatively, right-click the record). From the drop-down list, select Add New Phone to User.
A New Phone Service sub-element is displayed under the selected user's name and the appropriate detail configuration tabs are displayed in the right-hand pane.
Click the appropriate tab and configure, as required, the Service Profile, Device Details, Service Details, Access and Authentication, Phone Applications and Keys information.
Click Save Changes to create the new service and associate it with the selected user. Click Cancel at any time before saving to abort the operation.
NOTE: Up to eight services can be associated with a single user.
To associate an existing phone service with a user:
Navigate to the User
and Services Configuration form.

Locate the phone service to be associated with the user. Enter the number in the search field and perform Search By Number to quickly locate the service or leave the search field blank to display all currently configured phone services.
In the Search Results tree, select the phone service and click the displayed down arrow (alternatively, right-click the service). From the drop-down list, select Associate Phone with User.
Associate Phone to User dialog box opens displaying currently configured users' Name, Department, Location, and Numbers for services already associated with each user.
From the displayed list, select the user to which you wish to add the service (you can also use the Search option to quickly find the user).
NOTE: Only one user at a time can be selected.
Click the Associate button. Click Cancel to abort the operation and close the dialog box.
To disassociate a phone service from a user:
Select the user in the Search Results tree (you can also perform a Search By Last/First Name to quickly find the user).
Click the phone service sub-element that you want to disassociate, then click the displayed down arrow (alternatively, right-click the record). From the drop-down list, select Disassociate Phone from User.
Click OK to confirm.
NOTES
If the phone service is associated with multiple users, this procedure disassociates it only from the selected user.
Disassociating a phone service also removes all dependent services, such as Voice mail or MiCollab services, associated with the user.
Navigate to the User
and Services Configuration form.

In the Search By Number Results tree, locate the phone that you wish to delete or search for the specific number.
OR
In the Search By First/Last Name Results tree, select the user, then click the associated phone service that you want to delete.
Click the phone service element that you want to delete, then click the displayed down arrow (alternatively, right-click the record). From the drop-down list, select Delete Phone.
If the phone is associated with multiple users, a warning is displayed that the service will be deleted for all associated users.
If the phone has any MiCollab services attached, a confirmation window is displayed listing all MiCollab services that will be deleted, as well as all services that are impacted but can only be deleted on the MiCollab server. The message will include the "Open in MiCollab" link to the server.
Selecting Confirm will delete the phone service in both MiVoice Business and MiCollab systems. A refresh is required to see the change.
Click Confirm to proceed or Cancel to stop the deletion.
NOTES
The Delete Phone option is disabled when a remote service is selected.
You cannot delete a phone that is
configured as the primary service for the user and the user has other associated phones
OR
configured as the primary service for other users that have multiple associated phones
You must reconfigure the primary phone service for all affected users before attempting to delete the service.
You can only select and delete one service at a time.
You can also delete phone services while deleting a user. However, option Delete User and Phones is only available when you select the user in the Search By First/Last Name Results tree. See Deleting Users for details.
Navigate to the User
and Services Configuration form.

Select the user in the Search Results tree (you can also perform a Search By Last/First Name to quickly find the user), then click the associated phone service sub-element. Alternatively, perform a Search By Number to locate the phone that you wish to modify.
Complete one of the following steps:
To delete voice mail for the selected phone service, click the Voicemail sub-element, then click the down arrow (alternatively, right-click the element) and select Delete Voicemail.
To add voice mail:
click the Add Voicemail... sub-element
configure all required fields displayed in the right panel
click Save Changes; click Cancel to abort the operation
NOTE: If the number of digits in a created or modified DN does not match the voicemail digit length, then that phone service cannot have an embedded voice mailbox. The system displays a warning when you attempt such a DN change and then deletes the embedded voice mailbox.
